在义乌市老城区的核心位置，城中中路与下车门路的交接处，有一口东晋时开凿的古井。这口井是所有生活在下车门附近居民的集体记忆，也是义乌商业历史的见证。华润置地对项目区域的改造，由这口井开始，整体形成了尺度宜人、环境友好的活力商业街区，七月合作社有幸参与其中。古井所在临街的位置，使得入口界面与城市的连接处形成了更为紧密、也更为开放的空间。利用建筑围合出的包裹感，以古井为出发点，打开的广场收窄于一条通向繁华商业的线性空间，设计师在T字轴的北端，打造以八角井为焦点的向心型广场。
At the heart of the old urban area of Yiwu City and the intersection of Chengzhong Middle Road and Xiachemen Road, there is an ancient well dug during the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Starting from this well, the transformation of the project area by China Resources Land has created a pleasantly scaled, environmentally friendly and vibrant commercial block, and JULY DESIGN GROUP was honored to involve in it. The frontage location of the ancient well creates a closer and more open space where the entrance interface connects to the city. Utilizing the sense of wrapping enclosed by buildings, with the ancient well as the starting point, the open plaza narrows into a linear space leading to the bustling business area, and the designer creates a centripetal plaza with the Bajiaojing well as the focal point at the north end of the T-axis.
